A School Where Everyone Belongs
Opening in the fall of 2025 in the heart of Waukesha County
ABOUT US
Autumn Hill Academy is a “people first” school where relationships serve as the foundation for learning. Our environment enables students to feel a sense of belonging and overall well-being that elevates their academic success. Our program is college preparatory, with learner-centered instruction adaptable to each student’s learning pace.
Autumn Hill currently serves grades 6-10, with plans to add grades 11 and 12 over the next two years. We are a tuition-free, public charter school open to all Wisconsin residents.
ACADEMICS
Strong academic achievement is central to our mission. Autumn Hill Academy will offer challenging college preparatory coursework designed to enable students to maximize their post-secondary educational opportunities.
Personalized Learning
Autumn Hill Academy is a unique learning environment with a flexible, multi-age structure and a strong emphasis on personalized learning. Students work on customized pathways to attain learning targets, not simply complete assignments, and are challenged to connect their learning to real-world applications. Our program is designed to meet the needs of students working at an accelerated pace as well as those who need additional support.
LIFE NAVIGATION AND OVERALL WELL-BEING
Autumn Hill Academy provides teens with tools to navigate decisions, emotions and relationships, and to improve their overall well-being. Our framework emphasizes:
Self-Awareness
Self-Management
Social Awareness
Relationship Skills
Responsible Decision-Making
Autumn Hill Academy has a compassionate culture that focuses on relationships and seeks to create a sense of belonging and school connection for all. Empathy, understanding and kindness are key values.
SCHOOL CULTURE
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
— E.E. Cummings
Open Libraries, Open Minds
Books with diverse characters and points of view help students learn more about themselves and others. Autumn Hill Academy curates an age-appropriate library designed to help students broaden their perspectives and gain critical thinking skills.
Safe and Supportive Environment
Fostering a secure environment is essential. When students feel safe and confident within themselves and their environment, they learn deeply, build authentic connections, and express their unique talents. This foundation equips them with the resilience and life-skills to engage meaningfully and adapt to the world around them.
LGBTQ+ Inclusiveness
Autumn Hill Academy is a place where LGBTQ+ youth are fully accepted and valued. Students will find supportive policies, educators and staff, and inclusive curricula highlighting LGBTQ+ history and role models.
